Upon finishing his 12th education, PRANAB LAHKAR began working as a Freelancer Graphic Designer in Assam. Since 2000, PRANAB LAHKAR has worked on a variety of creative projects. He comes from a family background of Arts. 'KAHINOOR THEATRE' is a Mobile theatre group of the North-Eastern Indian state of Assam, founded by his father Sri Ratan Lahkar in 1976. Pranab still now actively participates in the daily activities of his theatre.

In 2002, he moved to Mumbai in search of something More. He was bored with still graphics and wanted to see and play around with moving objects and colors. So he joined Ketan Mehta's then called institute 'MAYA ACADEMY OF ADVANCED CINEMATICS'. Here he stepped into the world of Visual Effect's.

Pranab Lahkar has a good color Knowledge being a Graphic Designer himself. Later once he completed his course in Maya Academy, he chose to be a Visual Effects Compositor. He also has a knowledge of 3D Modelling. He loves playing around with 3d Software to enhance his knowledge.

 

In his 22 years of Visual Effects career, he has gone through many experiences. Starting his career as a Cleanup Artist he moved on to be Junior Compositor, Senior Compositor, Team-Lead, Vfx Supervisor, Vfx Shoot Supervisor, Vfx Producer and also Management.

 

His artistic expression has gone through many phases over the years resulting in a highly personal approach and perspective. He is a never content with standing still and are always looking for his next engaging project.
